Proven reserves fell to 9.94 trillion cubic feet, according to independent auditor Ryder Scott, the state-energy company known as YPFB said today in an e-mailed statement. Proven reserves fell from 12.1 trillion cubic feet in 2005, according to the statement released by YPFB. The figure of 26.7 trillion cubic feet has also been widely circuited in the Bolivian press in recent years. That figure placed Bolivia second in reserves in the region behind Venezuela. British Petroleum Statistical Review estimates Bolivia has 25.1 trillion cubic feet of gas reserves. Proven, probable and possible reserves are estimated at 19.9 trillion cubic feet, said YPFB.
