Leo Lefkowits - 1945-2001

LEO LEFKOWITS, born June 27, 1945, in New Brunswick, NJ, died on October 16th, 2001 in Vienna, Austria.

Leo was a graduate of Highland Park High School, Tufts University, and Rutgers University MBA program.

He served in Peace Corps in Bolivia, Group 31, from 1967-69 in Punata working with Credit Unions.

Leo was the son of Birdie Lefkowits of Bay Harbor Island, Florida, and the late Joseph A. Lefkowits. A long-time resident of Missouri City, Texas.

Leo is survived by his wife, Georgene and her parents, Andrew and Shirley Vajda of Monroe Township, NJ, his daughter Erica, son-in-law, Andrew Szabo, and granddaughter Eliana of Budapest, Hungary, daughter Sandra Lefkowits of New York, New York, and daughter Jenna Lefkowits of Tucson, Arizona. He is also survived by his brothers, Stuart Lefkowits and Dr. and Mrs. Henry Lefkowits, sister-in-law Phyllis Vajda as well as many other loving in-laws, nephews, neices, and cousins.

We deeply mourn the loss of our beloved husband, father, brother, and most of all, friend.
