Edward W. Ollick

Edward W. Ollick, 78, of Mentor, passed away April 28, 2018, at University Hospitals of Cleveland, after a short illness.

Born Feb. 25, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pa., he had been a resident of Lake County for 42 years.

Ed was a music aficionado, and a member of the Folknet Alliance, Northern Ohio Railway Museum, Tuesday Hiking Club and Northcoast Lite Flyers. He was also a volunteer at Andrews Osborne School of Fine Arts, the Peace Corps from 1962 to 1965 in Bolivia, and volunteered for other numerous activities.

Ed was the dear father of Tanya Ollick of Seattle, Wash., Teresa (Rick) Parker of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Andrew J. Ollick of Naples, Fla.; cherished grandfather of Andrew, Christopher, Robin and Lexi; brother of Wayne T. Ollick of New Jersey, James McDonald, Jerry McDonald, and Barbara Lazo of Pennsylvania; and former husband of Paula Howard.

He was preceded in death by his natural parents, Edward and Rae (nee Sproehnle) Ollick; and stepmother, Ann McDonald Ollick, who raised him.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Craggy Boglands, 4857 Robinhood Dr., Willoughby, where they will "Raise a Glass" at 7 p.m. Be sure to bring your best Ed story! (Live at 7 p.m. on Craggy Boglands Facebook page.) Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ed's name may be made to the Northern Ohio Railway Museum, 5515 Buffham Road, Seville, OH 44273.
