Dusty TURCOTT(Luann Sue Littlefield Bjornstad Turcott)(10/19/1941 - 7/7/2016 ) Jackson MITurcott, Dusty passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Jackson County Medical Care Facility. Dusty was born October 19, 1941, in Sturgis MI, the daughter of John and Ruth (Moffett) Littlefield. She was a 1960 graduate of Sturgis High School and later earned an LPN degree from Montcalm Community College in Ionia. Following high school, she married Jon Bjornstad, while working at radio station WSTR in Sturgis, and moved to southern California in 1961. From 1961 through 1965, she supported Jon through college. In 1965, Dusty and Jon joined the Peace Corps and served for two years in Bolivia. She lived at various times in Las Cruces NM, Cordova AK, Fullerton CA, Portage MI, and Jackson MI. Divorced in 1972, she married Tim Turcott in 1976 and lived with him in Portage for 30 years. Health issues brought on by multiple sclerosis and diabetes caused her to move to JCMCF in 2008. Dusty is survived by her beloved son Jon "JB" (Jennifer) Bjornstad of Silver City NM and daughter Zae Turcott (Justin) Smith of Carmel IN. A son Kohl died at birth. She is also survived by three granddaughters, Bella & Ava Bjornstad and Brinkley Smith. Also surviving Dusty are a sister Dorothy (Douglas) Lawson of Jackson MI and a brother Donald (Mary Ann) Littlefield of Folsom CA, along with several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at the Sturgis Oaklawn Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16. The family will receive friends at the home of Larry and Lynn Littlefield, 68711 Halfway Road, Burr Oak MI from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. The family suggests those wishing to make a memorial donation in Dusty's name consider making it to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at: http://www.nationalmssociety.org/donate or to the Jackson County Medical Care Facility.
